Metropol Skater is one of the more interesting new skateboarding games to hit the scene. In the game, you’ll play the role of an international crime fighter who just so happens to be a skater. Skate through cities collecting tokens and avoiding obstacles and see how far you can get.
Now, this may sound simple, but there are some keys to making it through the game. First of all, there are numerous obstacles that will send you back to the start of the level if you collide with them. The first thing to look out for is any kind of animal. Running into one will cost you a life and force you to restart the level. The next thing to look out for is barrels. Running into a barrel will have the same effect as running into an animal.
Conversely, you need to run into tokens. These tokens will look different on different levels, but they are all round in shape, blue and have a glowing aura. Some of the tokens are on the ground, but the vast majority are floating in the air, requiring you to jump in order to get them.
The key to the game is to move slowly through the levels. Once you start moving too quickly, a crash or collision is inevitable. The best way to control your speed is by tapping the arrow keys instead of holding them down.
Upon reaching the end of a level, you will board a plane and fly to the next city. A cool bonus feature of the game is that it offers you the chance to read a little bit of trivia about the cities between levels.
